First Lady Michelle Obama has launched a music series to encourage arts and arts education. Artists will participate in workshops for middle school and high school music students. Later the artists performed at The White House. The latest performance series featured country artists Alison Krause and Union Station, Brad Paisly and Charley Pride. President Obama, who enjoys listening to country music said, “…[it] has captured our restlessness and resilience” through storytelling.
