Now comes the latest princess to marry the man of her dreams in the upcoming Disney movie “The Princess and The Frog”. Wedding gown designer Kristie Kelly showed her latest designs inspired by the movies main character Tiana at the D23 Expo’s Wedding Event in Anaheim, California.
The 12 year veteran designer, who has focused on Disney-inspired gowns since 2007, revealed the first sketch for a Princess Tiana-inspired wedding gown, based on the upcoming movie, “The Princess and the Frog.”
“To be able to work on a film that one day your grandkids are going to see, it’s incredible,” Kelly was quoted as saying in a story about the D23 Expo by The Orange County Register. “I loved Tiana’s personality. I think she’s a very hard working woman.”
The Register reports that the dress Kelly designed, is modeled after the 1920’s, with rouching and fine beading. The dress will be released after the movie premieres later this year.
