Disneyhas introduced a collection of fashions and accessories inspired by its upcoming 3-D film “Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland”. Disney Consumer Products (DCP) collaborated with jewelry designer, Tom Binns, fashion designer Sue Wong and Swarovski, to create a line of products.
Popular retailer, Bloomingdales, will feature special display windows at their New York location promoting the product line and the film which opens in theaters nationwide March 5.
In addition, seven Bloomingdale’s stores across the U.S. including the NY flagship store will enhance their Alice In Wonderland merchandise displays with special signage and video screens that will play behind-the-scenes footage and select bonus material. The stores include Beverly Center, CA, Century City, CA, San Francisco, CA, South Coast Plaza, CA, Aventura, FL and Short Hills, NJ. The Bloomingdale’s Alice In Wonderland-inspired windows and in-store displays are planned to set in early March.
“Our collaboration with Bloomingdale’s brings it all together in a way that is fun and interesting for consumers and Disney fans alike”, said Pam Lifford, executive vp of DCP.
In addition to fashion and jewelry pieces, a line if select make up products were also created that was inspired by this film. A limited-edition Alice In Wonderland-inspired Book of Shadows had also been created. The book of 16 gorgeous eye shadow shades features a the palette that opens to a pop-up scene of Alice and her journey through the mushroom forest with the mirror resting in the background. The book-like cover is adorned with a lush black pattern and copper foil deco with teacup details. The Alice Book of Shadows offers 16 best-selling eye shadows, as well as two travel sizes of 24/7 Eye Pencils and one Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
The book is avaiable for purchase at Sephora, ULTA and Macy’s or online at sephora.com, ulta.com, macys.com, and urbandecay.com.
OPI will debut four limited-edition Nail Lacquer shades inspired by Alice In Wonderland. The Alice In Wonderland-inspired Nail Lacquers by OPI are available at professional salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and Ulta.
Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland”, in Disney Digital 3D, stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Mia Wasikowska as Alice. The all-star cast also includes Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Crispin Glover. The film opens on March 5.
