The Paley Center in Beverly Hills will premiere the third installment of the acclaimed HBO documentary “The Black List”. The documentary series looks at what it means to be black today as photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and renowned critic Elvis Mitchell interview Beverly Johnson, Debra Lee, John Legend, Lee Daniels, and Whoopi Goldberg.
Daniels is the Director’s Guild Award nominated director of the critically acclaimed film, “Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire.”
After the screening, a panel discussion will be held with Mitchell and Greenfield-Sanders who will be joined by Beverly Johnson and Suzanne dePasse.
The center will also host an exhibit of Greenfield-Sanders’ portraits taken in conjunction with the documentary series. Some of the notable faces photographed are Chris Rock, dePasse, and Kareem Adbul-Jabar.
This sold out event will take place Monday February 1.
