Sitcom star and all around multi-talented performer Neil Patrick Harris, is the latest comedy star to receive a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. The Emmy winner is set to receive his star in a ceremony on Thursday, September 15, at 11 a.m. at 6243 Hollywood Boulevard. Speaking on behalf of Harris will be Joss Whedon and “Mother” co-star Jason Segal.
Harris currently stars on CBS’ hit sitcom, “How I Met Your Mother,” whose Season 6 DVD is being relesased as well.
In 2010, the actor won his first of two Emmy Awards for his guest-starring turn on the critically-acclaimed series, “Glee,” and for his role as host of the 63rd Annual Tony Awards telecast.
Harris gained notoriety on the small screen as “Doogie Howser, M.D.” and has been in numerous movies, television shows and stage productions, including “Stark Raving Mad,” “Rent,” “The Smurfs,” “Beastly,” “Glee,” “Sesame Street,” “Boomtown” and the upcoming movie release “A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas.”
“How I Met Your Mother,” the new season premieres this Monday, September 19th on CBS.
