The Gospel Music Channel/GMC is airing an encore presentation of it’s highly successful play, “Sugar Mommas.” The play stars Vanessa Williams, Terri J. Vaughn, Lamman Rucker, Tommy Ford, Rachel True and Gospel singer VaShawn Mitchell.
“Sugar Mommas” tells the story of sisters Sheila (Vaughn) and Lynn (Williams), who are different in every way. Sheila is widowed and Lynn recently divorced with a daughter in college. The two decides to start a business together. Their mutual love of sweets causes them to start a bakery. When they invite close friend Tommi (Rachel True) to join them as their specialty pie maker, their recipe for success is complete. As old challenges, new loves and opportunities surface, these three women embark on a journey of self-awareness, affirmation, and hope as they write the next chapter in their sweet lives.
