'The Voice': season one winner Javier Colon to appear in National Puerto Rican Day Parade

The National Puerto Rican Day Parade will take place Sunday, June 10th in New York. As part of the celebration and parade festivities, Javier Colón, winner of “The Voice: Season One”, the NBC reality singing competition, will perform on the Popular Community Bank float on Sunday, June 10.

The theme of this year’s parade is “Celebrating Puerto Ricans in higher education. 

 “We were the first corporate sponsor of the Parade, and we are thrilled to continue to honor the spirit and culture of the Puerto Rican community 50 years later,” said Brian Doran, New York Metro Region Executive of Popular Community Bank. “We are also excited to have Mr. Colón, an emerging powerful voice, to join us on our float.”

Javier’s debut album is, “Come Through For You” available now. He appeared in the finale of “The Voice: Season2” and will be heading out on tour with Maroon 5, the band led by his “The Voice ” coach Adam Levine, among others. 

“I am excited to be a part of the Parade, to have Parade attendees listen to my style of music and to have the chance to express my pride through my music,” said Javier Colón. “This is a milestone moment for me and I look forward to sharing my joy and love for the Puerto Rican community.”
