If you are in Milwaukee this summer, check out the latest fashion display for the leather jacket. The history of the black leather jacket can be seen this summer as the Harley-Davidson Museum is featuring a “Worn to Be Wild” exhibit through September 3rd.
This summer, the Harley-Davidson Museum® will explore these and other questions in the special exhibition Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket. The exhibit looks at the functional and design history of the biker jacket along with the evolution of the garment from clothing to pop culture sensation.
More than 50 jackets will be on display, ranging from rare historical examples pulled from both the Harley-Davidson Archives and private collections to those worn by superstars of the stage and screen.
Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket is presented in partnership with the EMP Museum.
