The finale of season 9 of “So You Think You Can Dance” was tonight and the America’s Favorite Guy and Favorite Girl was crowned. Trained ballet dancers Chehon Wespi-Tshopp and Eliana Girard took home the ultimate prize, beating out popular dancers Cyrus Spencer and Tiffany Maher.
The night saw the Top 10 and the All-Stars returning to perform some of the judges and dancers favorites of the season.
“I feel blessed beyond belief and would just like to thank everyone for supporting me, believing in me and voting for me,” Cyrus said when learning that he had made it to the finale. “You all have kept me on the show and I have grown each week, not only as a dancer but as a person. Thank you!”
The season is over on TV but not for the dancers as they begin a cross country tour and also with Chehon and Eliana heading to Las Vegas to participate in the So You Think You Can Dance Experience, a three-day dance convention filled with classes, seminars, a mock audition and performances during which participants can learn, watch and be inspired by their favorite SYTYCD dancers and choreographers!
