Mel Brooks honored with the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award (Video)

Actor, writer, producer and director Mel Brooks was recognized by AFI with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his amazing career. Many of Brooks friends, co-workers and famous fans were on hand to honor him, including Amy Poehler, Conan O’Brien, Robert DeNiro, Judd Apatow, Morgan Freeman and many more.

The director stopped for reporters on the Red Carpet and spoke briefly to fans before the event. When asked what his favorite movie was, Brooks answered “Robin Hood, Men in Tights.” Check out a few minutes of footage from the Red Carpet and the interview with Brooks below:
