The Peter Jackson film has taken in an astounding global total of $573.6 million and counting. Warner Bros. made the announcement. The final installment to the acclaimed “The Hobbit” Trilogy is based on the by J.R.R. Tolkien novel, “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.”
Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf the Grey, with Martin Freeman in the central role of Bilbo Baggins, and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield.
