Netflix has announced that Emmy nominee Michelle Dockery has been cast as the female lead in their much anticipated mini-series “Godless” also starring Jeff Daniels and Jack O’Connell. The project is slated for a 2017 release.
“Godless” tells the story of Frank Griffin (Daniels), an outlaw hunting down Roy Goode (O’Connell), his student-like partner turned mortal enemy. While Roy hides at Alice Fletcher’s (Dockery) ranch, Frank’s chase leads him to the quiet town of La Belle, N.M. — which is mysteriously made up of entirely women. Dockery, best known for her role as “Lady Mary” on the international hit series, “Downton Abbey,” next stars in “Good Behavior,” coming later this fall on TNT.
