Coming to theaters is “Mr. Church,” starring Eddie Murphy, marking the actor’s first dramatic role since his Oscar nominated performance in “Dreamgirls.” The film, also starring Britt Robertson and Natascha McElhone, is set for theaters on September 16.
The film tells the story of a lifelong friendship that develops between a young girl (Robertson) and the cook (Murphy) hired to help care for her dying mother (McElhone).
“We are proud to be a part of Eddie Murphy’s return to the big screen, particularly because he’s playing a role so different from his previous work,” said Cinelou co-Ceo Courtney Solomon. “It’s thrilling to see him demonstrate his incredible talent and skill with drama in Mr. Church.”
In addition to being released in theaters, “Mr. Church” will also be available for streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. following the home entertainment release.
