Alama Drafthouse Cinemas is hosting a month-long celebration of the films of director Tim Burton. Dubbed, “Septemburton,” the celebration includes retrospective showings of Burton’s films, including “Beetlejuice,” “Ed Wood,” “Edward Scissorhands,” “Batman,”and “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure,” at select Drafthouse Cinemas across the country.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas are located in Ashburn, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, El Paso, Houston, Kalamazoo, Kansas City, Laredo, Lubbock, New Braunfels, Omaha, San Antonio, San Francisco, Winchester and Yonkers.
Burton’s latest movie, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” opens nationwide on September 30th.
In addition to the screenings of Burton’s works, participating Alamo locations will also feature a menu of specialty food and drinks inspired by Burton’s cinematic world. “Sandwich for the Recently Deceased,” Coca-Cola braised pork in “Beetlejuice” sauce on garlic-herb toasted ciabatta, piled with pickled onions, arugula, and radish slices and the “Scissor Chopped Salad,” romaine and cabbage, topped with croutons, bleu cheese dressing and shish kabob vegetables…are just some of the creative offerings the cinema have to offer during Septemburton.
