A Tribe Called Quest were the musical guest on the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live”. The group has released the first album in almost two decades this week. The album is titled “We Got It from Here…Thank You 4 Your Service. This album is the last to feature founding member Phife Dawg who died in March.
On the show, hosted by Dave Chappelle, The group which features Q-Tip, Jarobi White, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad first performed “We the People….”. The late Phife Dawg’s verse was played as a mural backdrop of him
dropped from the ceiling.
For the groups second performance on the show, they performed “The Space Program”, with Busta Rhymes and Consequence joining them on stage during the performance.
