Debbie Reynolds passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017, one day after losing her beloved daughter and pop culture icon herself, Carrie Fisher. Fisher, 60, known to the world as Princess Leia from the Star Wars movie died on Wednesday, December 27 after suffering a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles. Reynolds was 84. Both women were incredible talents and will be missed.
Debbie was TCM’s Star of the Month, often appearing at the TCM Classic Film Festival often to introduce her films and was memorialized by Carrie on TCM Movie Channel.
Check out Debbie in one of my favorite movies of all time, “Singin’ In The Rain” and the TCM tribute to Debie below.
