During the annual Winter Press for PBS, the network announced their latest slate of programming.
Nova “Solar Eclipse” from the Nova series will air on Monday, August 21. The show will highlight the first total solar eclipse since 1979. NOVA will capture the spectacular event in a special presentation to air hours after it takes place.
PBS will also celebrate the 40th Anniversary of NASA Voyager Launch in the documentary “The Farthest.”
“The Farthest” is a two-hour documentary that spotlights the extraordinary success story of NASA’s Voyager mission, which began 40 years ago this August. The twin Voyager spacecraft revolutionized planetary science, resolved key questions about the outer planets and raised intriguing new ones about the evolution of our solar system.
The documentary will celebrate these magnificent machines, the men and women who built them, and the vision that propelled them farther than anyone could ever have hoped.
