The hit freshman show, “This Is Us” has been renewed for Season 2 and Season 3. NBC announced the news earlier the day during their Winter Press Tour.
The show, which was Golden Globe nominated for Best Drama Series and stars Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan and Justin Hartley, tells the story of a Pittsburgh-area family and their lives. The episode order is for 36 for both seasons, 18 episodes for each season.
The show is a refreshingly honest and provocative series that follows a unique ensemble whose paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. We find several of them share the same birthday, and so much more than anyone would expect. “This Is Us” is a smart, modern series that will challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know.
A flashback clip from this Tuesday’s upcoming episode gives a little insight into how Jack’s children, Kate, Kevin and Randall, and widow, Rebecca, are mourning his death.
In the present day, Kate (Metz) is seen at a therapeutic yoga class. We also see flashbacks of Jack (Ventimiglia)’s funeral and how the family is dealing with it.
“This Is Us” airs Tuesdays on NBC.
