Bounce announces Black History Month programming with ‘Black History Honors’

Bounce will honor Black History Month throughout February with a line-up of critically-acclaimed and award-winning motion pictures and mini-series, all with historical significance and relevance.

Headlining the Bounce lineup will be the short form series”Black History Honors.” The new original short-form series will include vignette-style interviews with such prominent newsmakers and trailblazers as Kamala Harris, California’s first African-American U.S. Senator, Issa Rae, Chadwick Boseman, and the late Peabody Award-winning journalist Gwen Ifill.

The network will also showcase some classic African-American centered movies, “The Color Purple,” “Ghosts of Mississippi,” “Panther,” “Cadillac Records,” “Sounder,” and “Why Do Fools Fall in Love.”

Bounce will also air the mini-series, “Alex Haley’s Queen.”
