Actor Pierson Fodé has decided to leave “The Bold and the Beautiful” when his contract expires. The actor was twice Emmy-nominated for his role as Thomas Forrester, the young designer and heir apparent to Forrester Creations.
“As far as my time goes in L.A., this has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve made,” says Fode told SOD who reports the news exclusively in the latest issue.
“I’ve invested two-and-a-half years of my life into this. You really do create this relationship on set with people, and you get used to seeing them every day. I’m also getting a steady paycheck, and I’m getting some notoriety out of it and some different things, but the decision that went into it was hard because you want to have your cake and eat it, too. You want to be there and I still want to go off and shoot a Marvel movie. I want to still be shooting on B&B and I want to do a Netflix series, and at the end of the day, you can’t do it all. And that was the choice that I had to make.”
The actor reveals that the show tried hard to keep him on. “They really tried to work with me,” Fode said. “It wasn’t a money thing. It wasn’t a character thing. Its sad to say this because they were about to write Sally (Courtney Hope) and Thomas into this really incredible storyline, and that would have been so much fun for me to do, but it was just my time.” Fode last airs on Friday, September September 14.
The actor has a few upcoming projects, including starring as college football player Brad Gaines in the true story movie, “It’s Time” in which a football accident leaves teammate Chucky Mullins paralyzed and Brad’s life forever changed.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays on CBS.
