Tarik “Black Thought” Trotter is hosting Visit Philadelphia’s new American American travel series, “We Got You: Philly by Tarik.”
The series is a part of the city of Philadelphia’s latest African-American marketing initiative. The documentary-style travel video series features Trotter, a Philadelphia native and a member of the Grammy winning “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” house band, The Roots.
“We Got You: Philly by Tarik,” shows off the city of Philadelphia and will promote the city across all of Visit Philadelphia’s marketing channels to gain video views, visits and hotel stays.
Tarik and his friends, Luvvie Ajayi, Tai Beauchamp, Dustin Ross, Vanessa Simmons and Cory Townes, will explore Philly’s arts scene, foodie spots, live music venues, historic sites and more. “Want to check out Philly’s best? We got you.”
Part of Visit Philadelphia’s “With Love, Philadelphia XOXO” campaign, the series is viewable online at visitphilly.com/wegotyou. Digital advertisements that drive viewers to watch the videos will also appear across websites such as African-American themed sites as Essence, Madame Noire and also on YouTube.
