If you missed any of this year’s Emmy’s big winner, “Big Little Lies, don’t fret. HBO will have an encore of the series. All seven episodes will air back-to-back on HBO2 for your binge-watching pleasure on Thursday, September 21, starting at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
The series is based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling book of the same name. “Big Little Lies,” tells the story of three mothers of first-graders whose seemingly perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. The series stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Alexander Skarsgård, Laura Dern, Adam Scott, Zoë Kravitz, James Tupper and Jeffrey Nordling and was written for television by David E. Kelley.
The show picked up eight Emmys, the most of any HBO show this year, including Outstanding Limited Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Nicole Kidman, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Laura Dern, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for Alexander Skarsgård, Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special, Outstanding Casting for a Limited Series, Movie or Special, Outstanding Contemporary Costumes for a Series, Limited Series or Movie and Outstanding Music Supervision.
