“The Young and the Restless” executive producer Mal Young began his role new role as the show’s head writer this week and going into November Sweeps, the exec promises that November “will provide a lot of fun for the audience.”
Before the fun begins for the Newman’s a lot of drama is heading their way.
Young previewed what ahead for Genoa Citys #1 family in the November 6 issue of Soap Opera Digest Magazine, on stands now.
“Newman Enterprises will be rocked to the core when the company is connected to a shocking scandal,” Young tells the magazine. “Victor (Eric Braeden) will do what he does best, fight back as quickly as possible. He will assemble a powerful team of players to help protect his legacy. Victor and Nick (Joshua Morrow) may have called a truce but it won’t be long before their bad blood resurfaces. Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will do their best to tolerate each other.”
As for Victor and Nikki’s daughter Victoria (Amelia Heinle), who was last seen fainting live on “The Hilary Hour,” thing look grim. Says Young, “Victoria’s mysterious health issues will finally come to a shocking and impactful conclusion that no one could have foreseen.”
