“The Voice” Season 13 has announced rocker Chloe Kohanski took home the trophy and the $100,000 prize and a record deal thanks to her performance style and the skills of her coach, six-time “The Voice” winner Blake Shelton.
Shelton has won the competition six times, more than any other coach in the show’s history.
The Nashville native beat out fellow Team Blake member Red Marlow, who finished in 4th place, Brooke Simpson of Team Miley who landed in third place and runner-up Team Adam’s Addison Agen.
Kohanski was paired up with one of her idols, rock legend Billy Idol, to perform his classic hit “White Wedding” during the two-hour finale.
Kohanski was once of the few Season 13 contestants who had a constant presence on the iTunes chart with her renditions of Fleetwood Mac’s“Landslide,” Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” Blondie’s “Call Me” and Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is,” which helped solidify her win.
Kohanski debuted her original song on Monday’s performance show entitled “Wish I Didn’t Love You.”
After the finale Kohanki and her coach, Blake Shelton met with the press for a press conference.
