The Stray Cats reunite for their first North American performance in 10 years on Saturday, April 21st as part of the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend. The band which features Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom.
The three-day festival will take place April 19- 22 at The Orleans hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event attracts 20,000 per year.
The Stray Cats formed in 1978 and had hits in the 80s with “Rock This Town” and “Stray Cat Strut.” They parted ways in the mid-80s,. They have reunited a few times over the years which included a 2008 toured in Australia and New Zealand.
The Grammy – nominated band have sold over 10 million and reached 23 gold and platinum certified records worldwide. They were music video pioneers at MTV and bought rockabilly music t the top of the charts.
Setzer has been recording and performing as a solo artist having competed the 14th year of his Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Rocks Tour.
Rocker has been performing and recording as a solo artist. In 2011, he joined the Broadway hit musical “Million Dollar Quartet” for guest staring appearances. He is currently on tour with dates through April.
Phantom has also bee performing as a solo artist He released his top selling autobiography. He is currently has tour dates scheduled in January and February 2018 in the UK.
