Olivia Pope is about to meet Annalise Keating. Two of ABC’s powerhouse shows “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder” creator are planning acrossover event this season.
The show’s creators Shonda Rhimes and Peter Norwalk of “Scandal” and “How To Get Away with Murder” respectively each tweeted a teaser of the script that marks the first time the two shows meet. “People. It’s happening,” Rhimes captioned her post, with both using hashtags, #TGITCrossover and #HowtoGetAwaywithScandal.

The shows’ stars Kerry Washington (Scandal’s Olivia Pope) and Viola Davis (HTGAWM’s Annalise Keating) got in on the fun by posting tweets on the other’s set.

According to Norwalk, the entire two hours takes place in the same setting, and [Olivia and Annalise] have that arc over those two hours together.
“Scandal” and “How To Get Away with Murder” are part of ABC’s Thursday night block of Shondaland programs along with “Gray’s Anatomy.”
