Melissa Claire Egan is leaving “The Young and the Restless” after playing Chelsea for the past six years. The actress took to @Twitter to confirm the news and say goodbye to her cast, crew and fans of the show.

Egan first joined the show in late 2011 as Chelsea Lawson and previously appeared as Annie Lavery on “All My Children.” She has received 5 Daytime Emmy nominations over the course of her career.
