Ashleigh Brewer, who plays Ivy Forrester on the Emmy-award winning CBS daytime drama, “The Bold and the Beautiful” is leaving the show according to theHerald Sun. Ivy first came onto the scene in 2014 as patriarch Eric’s (John McCook) niece who vied for Liam’s heart (Scott Clifton) against her cousin Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Brewer looked to advice from her close friend and “Neighbours” co-star Margot Robbie when making the decision.
“I’m doing the acting thing in LA, onwards and upwards,” Brewer told the Sun. “It’s definitely time for me and I’ve had Margot encouraging me for so long [saying to] just leave it and see what happens. So I’m throwing caution to the wind now and keeping myself open to opportunities. I’ve been doing soaps for 10 years now. It’s daunting but so exciting.”
Brewer had a successful stint as Kate Ramsay on the popular Austrailian soap, “Neighbours,” where she and Robbie first met, before moving to Los Angeles to join “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
Up next for Brewer is “My Dinner with Hervé” starring Peter Dinklage, Jamie Dornan, and Andy Garcia. The film is a look at the life of French actor Hervé Villechaize, co-star of the hit ’70s TV series “Fantasy Island”, who took his own life in 1993 at the age of 50.
