ABC has announced the judges for “Dancing with the Stars Junior.” Mandy Moore, Val Chmerkovskiy and Adam Rippon have been tapped to judge the first season of the show. The announcement was made on “Good Morning America.” The show is described as a fresh take on an established favorite, the show will pair celebrity kids with professional junior ballroom dancers to perform choreographed routines.
For the first time ever, the voting will be done entirely by the studio audience. The show, which begins taping this week, is set to air Sunday nights this Fall.
“Dancing with the Stars Junior” will have many similarities to its parent series, including the rumored pro-dancer mentors and some of the themes, including the popular Disney Episode.
