Jennifer Lopez is the latest artist to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award during the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday, August 20.
Lopez delivered a 10-minute medley of hits of her 20-year career. She opened with “Waiting for Tonight” and performed songs including “On the Floor.”, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” “I’m Glad,” “Get Right”, “All I Have”, and “Jenny From the Block.”
Ja Rule then joined her on stage for I’m Real” and “Ain’t It Funny.” She closed out her set with her latest single “Dinero,” joined by DJ Khaled.
Shawn Mendes presented the Video Vanguard to Lopez who becomes the first Latin artist to receive the award. She thanked her fans, manager Benny Medina, her family and Alex Rodriguez.
