Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story” remake has found it’s Tony. Ansel Elgort has been cast as the lead of the movie, Variety reports. Elgort recently starred in “Baby Driver,” and “The Fault in Our Stars.”
“West Side Story” producers have auditioned thousands of actors and dancers in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Puerto Rico in recent months. “West Side Story” is a musical about a modern-day Romeo and Juliet are involved in New York street gangs. On the harsh streets of the upper west side, two gangs battle for control of the turf. The situation becomes complicated when a gang member falls in love with a rival’s sister.
