Peggy McCay, who played Caroline Brady on the Emmy winning soap opera “Days of Our Lives” for more than 30 years has died. McCay joined the cast in 1983 and was on the show until 2016. She had a long career as an actress, mostly appearing on television.
The character of Caroline Brady was the town’s matriarch to the Brady family as the mother of popular character Roman, Bo, and Kayla Brady.
“Days” executive producer Ken Corday issued a statement on the show’s Official Twitter page earlier this week.

McCay was Emmy nominated by her peers for her work as Caroline a total of five times.
