Disney To Make Live Action ‘Hunchback of Notre Dame’ Movie

Disney’s next live action movie will be an adaptation of ‘Hunchback of Notre Dame,” Variety reports. David Henry Hwang will write the script with Josh Gad producing. 

Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz will write the music. Hunchback tells the story of the bell-ringer at the Notre Dame Cathedral and his friendship with the gypsy Esmeralda.   

Disney’s previous live-action movies have been “The Jungle Book,” “Beauty and the Beast” and the upcoming “The Lion King.”
