Season 14 of “America’s Got Talent’s” premiere got off to an exciting start when contestant Kodi Lee shocked judges, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and new judges Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union, after a beautiful performance that earned him a golden buzzer.
Lee, 22, is a blind and autistic musical genius who was brought onto the stage by his mother before singing a rendition of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song For You.” Lee’s performance moved the live audience and had the judges in tears before the end of the song. Lee earned a standing ovation from all four judges, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, Howie Mandel, and Simon Cowell. Union was so moved by the performance, she used her golden buzzer for Lee, the first one of the season. Check it out below.
