“The Voice” began this season’s Battle rounds this week with coaches John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton paring their best artist against each other. The pairing of Team Legend’s Destiny Rayne and Katie Kadan was one of the season’s best.
Singing Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer,” Katie and Destiny gave a powerful performance fill with harmony and soul. All four coaches gave the two a standing ovation as the song finished.
In the end, John had the difficult choice of picking only one of the two, sending the other home. Katie’s won the battle but Destiny held her own – landing a steal from both Blake and Gwen. The pitches from the power couple duo was entertaining with Blake quickly pressing his button just seconds before Gwen hit hers.
Blake told Destiny that he didn’t want to fight his girlfriend but he was willing to fight for her. When Blake stated he had won “The Voice” more times than Gwen had been a coach, Gwen shot back reminding Destiny that she had the longest career and that Destiny should choose her.
Destiny chose Gwen as her coach making all glad that Destiny is still on the show. Check out the performance below.
