Alex Trebek, the longtime host of “Jeopardy” has lost his battle to cancer. He was 80 years old. Trebek has since received seven Emmys for Outstanding Talk Show host and has been has been nominated on 31 occasions, more than any other host.
Fans of all over have been morning the beloved host, from celebrities around the world to fans who watched the show over the years. Trebek was also mourned by superstar “Jeopardy” contestants Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer.
Both men recently returned to the show as contestants with for a special edition of the show earlier this year, called “Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time” along with Brad Rutter.
“Jeopardy” episodes featuring Trebek will air throughout the year.
