“The Voice” had their first live shows of the season where the Top 17 contestants competed for a spot in the Top 9. Who advances will be announced live on Tuesday’s results show. One name who won’t be moving on will be Team Kelly’s Ryan Gallagher. The Michigan native and operas singer left the competition ahead of Monday’s Four-Way Knockout reveal.
Gallagher was up against Will Team Blake’s Taryn Papa, Team Legend’s Julia Cooper and Team Gwen’s Larriah Jackson for a chance to sing in the Top 17. Host Carson Daly announced Gallagher’s exit but didn’t offer an explanation why. In the end Team Blake’s Taryn Papa advanced to perform.
Gallagher’s last performance was Andrea Bocelli’s “Time To Say Goodbye” which all the coaches loved.
