During a Disney investor presentation Thursday, Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy announced that “Lando,” a Star Wars event series centered on Lando Calrissian, for Disney+. This is presumably one of the 10 Star Wars shows in coming to the streaming service in the next few years.
The series is being developed by writer-director Justin Simien of “Dear White People” fame is developing the series.
Lando Calrissian first made his appearance in the Star Wars movies “The Empire Strikes Back,” “Return of the Jedi” and most recently “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” and was played by Billy Dee Williams. played by Billy Dee Williams, Donald Glover played a younger version of the character in “Solo: A Stars Wars Story.”
