“The Masked Dancer” held their Group B playoffs special episode tonight on FOX. The sister show to “The Masked Singer, ” Dancer puts on a dance show. Host Craig Robinson and panelists Ashley Tisdale, Brian Austin Green, Ken Jeoung, and Paula Abdul along with special guest panelist Rob Lowe watched and gave colorful commentary about each performance. The panelists also got to hear the contestant’s actual voices in a series called “Word Up” where each dancer said one word as a clue.
Competing tonight as Group A was Exotic Bird, Tulip, Hammerhead, and Cricket. At the end of the night, Cricket was sent home. Cricket turned out to be singer Brian McKnight.
Clues – The knight in the package refers to the singer’s last name while the 947 in the clue package refers to 94.7 The Wave radio station where Brian hosted a show. The 90210 clue was for his appearance on “Beverly Hills 90210” and 1998 was when he signed his record deal. All the clues and references to the number “one” refer to his hit song, “Back At One.”
