Coldplay has a new single out called “Higher Power.” To celebrate Higher Power’s release, the band linked up for an extraterrestrial video chat with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who is currently on board the International Space Station.
The band will perform Higher Power on “American Idol” on Sunday (9 May) where Chris Martin will serve as a mentor to the Top 7 contestants and at the BRIT Awards on Tuesday (11 May). They will also perform a set for Glastonbury’s Live At Worthy Farm global live stream on May 22.
