2021 MTV “VMAs”preview hosted by Doja Cat airs LIVE Sunday, September 12th

 The 2021 MTV “VMAs” are back for a live and fan-filled show to bring together the biggest names in music for a special night celebrating this year’s most memorable and best videos along with show-stopping performances, unforgettable viral moments, and more.  

MTV adds to its star-studded “VMAs” lineup as hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes is set for a special performance at this year’s 2021 Video Music Awards. Hosted by Doja Cat, the show airs LIVE from Barclays Center on Sunday, September 12 at 8PM ET/PT on MTV. Known for his creativity, artistic influence and linguistic stylings, Busta Rhymes brings an explosive energy and legendary swagger to this year’s show.

PRE-SHOW: The 2021 “VMAs” Pre-Show, hosted by Nessa Diab and Jamila Mustafa, will air live on Sunday, September 12 beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. The 90-minute event will feature coverage from music superstar TINASHE, who is stepping in as the celebrity correspondent. Fans can also watch the 2021 “VMAs” Pre-Show on Twitter @MTV starting at 6:15pm ET, which will feature additional digital exclusive breaks – including retrospective red carpet fashion, jaw-dropping celebrity stage moments from “VMAs” past, and celebratory reviews of today’s biggest performers and nominees.
