On Friday, January 21 episode of “General Hospital,” friends and family say goodbye to Luke Spencer as the iconic character (played on and off since 1979 by Tony Geary) meets on The Haunted Star to share their stories about Luke.
The episode is also a goodbye for TV sister, Bobbi (played by Jacklyn Zeman). Joining Bobbie are Carly, Laura, Tracy, Robert, Anna, Felicia, Sonny, Felicia, Anna, Robert, Curtis, Nikolas, Spencer, Sonny and others.
“When you’re on a soap opera for so many years, there’s a lot of crossover into real life,” Zemen says in the latest issue of “Soap Opera Digest. “You get emotionally immersed into that history, and the memories of that history remain not only in my heart, and in Tony Geary’s [ex-Luke] heart, but in the hearts of our viewers, our audience. And that’s joyful to me, to have gotten to play that for decades. I probably spent more time with Tony Geary than a lot of women spend with their real-life brother over the years! Tony was like the real-life brother that I always wanted and never had. He was my TV brother, but he felt like my real family, and that connection will last forever.”
