American Idol season 20 premiered on ABC on Sunday, February, 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The season will start off with its traditional audition episodes that took place in Los Angeles, California, Nashville, Tennessee and Austin, Texas.

After the auditions, the hopefuls will arrive in Los Angeles for group rounds and a chance to advance to the live shows.

Judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Byran return for their fifth season on the panel. Ryan Seacrest also returns to the show as the host for the past 20 seasons.
