Rapper Coolio passed away on September 28 in Los Angeles at the age of 59. Born Artis Leon Ivey Jr., Coolio’s first two albums, “It Takes a Thief” and “Gangsta’s Paradise,” led to a bevy of hits and his hit single “Gangsta’s Paradise” earned Coolio a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1996.
