Ashanti released her new song “Falling For You.” Songtress Ashanti released her first sigle from her upcoming album. Her new single is “Falling for You,” co-written by Bleu.
The prolific singer who receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this year, described the single in an interview on Entertainment Tonight. “The song represents being in palce where you’re tired of dealng with the BS. It’s heartfelt… I was going through things and I feel like sometimes its great to articulate yourself.” The song is currently No. 3 on the charts.
Ahanti is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of her history-making debut album with the release of a a re-recorded version of the hit maker which included “Foolish.” The song hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also won her a Grammy for R & B Album for her debut self-titled album.
The singer is also testing her acting chops with a new holiday movie “A New Diva’s Christmas Carol.” It premieres on VH1 on December 14.
“It’s so fun,” she says of the movie. “You’re gonna laugh, you’re gonna cry a little. It’s so colorful. You see me in a very differet character than wh I am. I’m very mean.”
In addition to starring in her own video and single, Ashanti is featured on Diddy’s latest track, “Gotta Move On,” the Queen’s remix of the song.
