The Superbowl ads were plentiful with movie trailers for “Fast X,” “The Guardians of the Galaxy,” “The Flash,” “65,” and “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” being the big sell. The most talked about one was “The Flash” movie from Warner Bros. The Flash will premiere in movie theaters on June 16, 2023.
The movie’s storyline follows “Flashpoint,” with Barry (Ezra Miller) trying to alter the timeline to save his mother who was killed years ago, and has found a way to change the past. As Barry travels through different points in time, he meets himself, giving us two Barrys. The speedster also reconnects with Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck) both in his present time and years later in the future as an older Batman (Michael Keaton). Batman warns him that doing so might not be the best idea. “You have no idea what the consequences could be,” Affleck’s Bruce Wayne warns. “You could destroy everything.”
The Flash travels through time to prevent the murder of his mother, but unwittingly causes changes that result in the creation of a multiverse.
The trailer also introduces “The Young and the Restless” alum Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Michael Shannon as Supervillian Zod. Calle took to social media to express her excitement to see a trailer of the film air on such a big night.
