“The Masked Singer” is back with the Season 9 premiere. The premiere episode returned will all new contestants in costumes equal to the Emmy-winning costumes the show is known for.
Competing on the premiere are three new contestants, Mustang, Gnome, and Medusa. The first to be eliminated was Gnome who turned out to be legendary Emmy, Tony and Grammy-winning actor Dick Van Dyke.
Mustang and Medusa were left to compete against each other in the season’s first Battle Royale. They both sang the same song, “Diamonds” by Rihanna.
Medusa was the winner beating Mustang who turned out to be country singer Sara Evans.

Host Nick Cannon and celebrity panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke will return next week for ABBA week where tonight’s winner Medusa will compete against two new contestants Night Owl and Rock Lobster.
“The Masked Singer” airs Wednesdays on FOX.
