TCM is kicking off its annual 31 Days of Oscar programming beginning March 1. Now in its 29th year, the month-long showcase of films that have either been nominated for or won the Oscar in the “best” in their respective categories. This year, TCM will be celebrating Oscar By Genre.
TCM celebrates 95 years of brilliance in film as recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Be sure to watch the Oscars live – Sunday, March 12 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT on ABC.
This year’s films include classics such as The African Queen (1951), Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), Some Like It Hot (1959) and The Sting (1973). Modern films are spotlighted as well including The Goodbye Girl (1977), There Will Be Blood (2007) and Hoop Dreams (1994).
