“Saturday Night Live” kicked off the first show of the season with Jacob Elordi as host and Renee Rapp as the musical guest. Rapp, who is starring in the”Mean Girls” movie musical, sang two songs plus performed in a sketch. For her first song, Rapp performed “Snow Angel” the title track from her debut album. For her second song, Rapp was introduced by Rachel McAdams as a surprise. Eagle-eyed fans recognized Rachel as the star of the original “Mean Girls” movie. Rapp sang “Not MyFault,” a song from the movie’s soundtrack. Megan Thee Stallion, who duets with Rapp on the song, was a surprise guest for the performance.
