“General Hospital” fans rejoice! Jonathan Jackson is returning to the show this summer as fan favorite Lucky Spencer. The character is the son of GH supercouple Luke and Laura. Laura, played by Genie Francis, is the Mayor of Port Charles and she and Lucky’s ex Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and their son Aiden (Tristan Riggs)) will no doubt be glad to see him. Viewers will remember that Lucky was last in Ireland and Africa doing volunteer work.
TVMusic Network spoke to Jackson between his GH and “Nashville” stints back in 2012.
Jackson’s return was hinted at the Daytime Emmys when executive producer Frank Valentini told ABC7 that “A former cast member is coming back, and I think that the audience will go crazy for him.”
